As many of you know, we are in the midst of updating and improving the community center. While pulling a permit for that project through Lee County, we were flagged through an anonymous code enforcement complaint as being in violation because we do not have a Limited Development Order (LDO) for Villas Park. Upon investigation, it was confirmed that the "Caleb's Superhero Playground" structure, swings, seesaw, toddler equipment, and the associated memorial sign installed in 2016 were never permitted or inspected.

We immediately filed the necessary paperwork with the county to remedy this, but in the meantime, the memorial sign will be removed and properly permitted by a general contractor to ensure it is within code. This situation also affects the building updates, as another permit will not be approved while we are in violation in reference to the park. Please bear with us as our grand re-opening will now be delayed. We will update you as the situation evolves. Thank you for your continued support of the FMVELCI.
